Signals

Give Signal and Await Signal let threads wait for each other by name. An Await Signal step waits until a Give Signal step with the same name runs.

• Each Give Signal lets one waiting Await Signal continue.
• If no thread is waiting, the signal is kept until an Await Signal takes it.
• Signal names are scoped to a run: they are shared by every thread of that run and by the schedules it starts.

Choose names that will not clash between unrelated parts of a run.
